where is...?

Where is your church building located?

Pleasant Ridge is located near the intersection of I-20 & Little Rd in Arlington.

Our address is:

6102 W. Pleasant Ridge Rd.

Arlington, TX 76016

Where is your youth room?

Our youth room, or "TheYouthArea" as it is known among our teens, is located on the South-West end of our building. There are two parallel education wings, and TheYouthArea is located at the very end of the south wing. You can park in the south-west lot (next to the playground) and enter the side door.  The youth room will be to your left as you walk in the door.

Bible classes for teens?

What is your Bible class schedule like?

On Sunday mornings we have class in TheYouthArea for all of our 7th-12th grade students. Class begin at 9:30am and ends at 10:20am.

On most Sunday evenings we invite our students to spend time in their Grow Groups, but once a month we provide a time of fun for our students called Unplugged. Depends on the activity, Unplugged can sometimes be free or a small fee. We have had Putt Putt Golf Tournaments, board game night, even Fright Fest at Six Flags Over Texas.

Our Wednesday evening Bible class is our small group meeting times.  It is a time that is designed for our students to be encouraged spiritually and emotionally.  It is also a time for them to connect with each other and with our adult volunteers.

Other Events for teens?

Do you offer other events during the school year?

Yes! We offer various types of events throughout the year. From devotionals to service projects, and other fun events like movie and game nights we seem to always have something going on in youth ministry.

What retreats do you offer during the year?

Both junior high and high school offer a fall retreat and a spring retreat.  Each retreat is held at different camp/retreat center in the area.  We encourage all of our teens to invite friends to take part in our weekends together.  We truly feel like our retreats are some of the very best ministry we offer our teens.  It is a great time to connect with others in the group, grow closer to Christ, and find your place in our youth ministry.

What about cost & Payments?

What type of payment do you accept for activities?

We accept all types of payments for retreats, camps, and other activities.  We accept cash, check (made payable to PRCC), debit/credit cards (including chip cards), and contacless payments (i.e. Apple Pay & Android Pay).  We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express using Square.  You can ask Brandon about using Square, or stop by Pleasant Aromas (PR's Coffee Shop) to pay there.

Is there financial assistance for some of your activities throughout the year?

Yes! We realize that youth ministry can put a strain on the family budget when it comes to the number of activities we offer throughout the year. We don't expect that every student will come to every event, but we never want to hear that the reason they didn't come was because of money. We are blessed by our membership at Pleasant Ridge and every year there is money set aside for financial assistance purposes. If you need assistance getting your teen to an activity, please contact Brandon in the church office and he'll privately work out a financial assistance plan with you.

what about parent involvement?

Are parents, or other adults involved in your ministry?

Absolutely! We don't feel like ministry stops at teenage ministry. We do our best to be a family ministry, allowing parents and other adults the opportunity to teach classes, chaperon events, or get involved in other ways. Please, do not hesitate to ask Brandon how you can get involved.

How do you communicate with parents?

We do our best to communicate via email, text alerts, and snail mail.  The primary bulk of communication is done through email.  If you're not getting our communications, please fill out this quick form so that we can get your email address.

Other questions?
